Consider a past, present, or future group decision that you have been or will be involved in. Think about what is/was most challenging about the decision-making process. Find and read the chapter(s) of Kaner’s book “Facilitator’s Guide to Participatory Decision Making” that seem most relevant to the situation you are thinking about. For the assignment, briefly describe the group and the decision or planning issue the group is working on. What is the issue or challenge that you would like to work on? What strategy, idea, and/or concept from Kaner do you think might be helpful to you in addressing the issue and explain how you would apply the strategy, idea, or concept to your situation (beyond the diamond of participatory decisoin making model).

One to two page description of a group decision making situation you are faced with and a strategy, idea or concept from Kaner that you would like to try. Describe how you would apply the strategy, idea, or concept.
