Using the attainment findings you developed for Module 9, write an initial problem statement including causes and potential sources (if this information is available)of water quality problems. After completing the reading assignment, refine your draft statement. Respond to the following questions:
- Using your answers to Module 9, question 13e, identify which key stream characteristics you think most need to be changed to achieve aquatic life use attainment?
- What were your initial assumptions about the problem?
- What heuristics or decision shortcuts did you recognize in your thinking about the problem?
- If you changed your problem statement after the readings, what led you to make those changes? How could these changes influence the possible solutions that would be developed to address the problem?
