For this assignment, you will develop a draft outreach plan for implementing one water quality or related watershed protection objective. Your draft plan should address the following:
- Define your water quality or other watershed protection objective.
- What is your outreach or education purpose (e.g, inform, educate, build capacity)?
- What are your outreach or education goals and objectives?
- Identify a specific target audience(s). a.What is the target audience's role in the water quality issue? b. What changes in the target audience's knowledge, attitudes, skills, or behaviors do you want to cause with your outreach campaign? c. How will the changes address the water quality issue?
- What do you know about your target audience that will help you tailor your message? What do you need to know? How could you gather that information?
- Identify possible messages that will engage your target audience.
- Identify the format for delivering the message or teaching strategy for education programs. Why did you choose that format?
- Describe how you will distribute your message or implement your outreach and/or educational plan.
